Jokes aside you don’t need to be an expert bartender to find a job abroad. Often a good attitude is all that is needed. Training is often provided on the job, so as long as you are willing to put in the work you should be able to find employment. Busy Summer resorts will often open vacancies around April and again mid-season.
The good thing about holiday resorts is that there is no shortage of bars and clubs around. Vacancies range from top “shaker and stirrer” cocktail bars to laid-back beach bars and busy hotel venues. You will need a little initiative and regular tasks include:
Bar work often required late finishes up to 4am or even later if you work at the clubs. Expect around an 8 hour shift 5 or 6 days per week.
This varies bar to bar but usually around 50-60 Euros per shift.
